Happy July 4th!!!

We really enjoyed our 4th of July and are so proud to be called "Americans"!

Robb had to work most of the day so that he could take off later in the week, but the kids and I had a fun day, spending most of it in the pool. Robb then grilled for us and we made homemade icecream (yum, yum). Later we loaded up and went to meet our friends, Tony and Amy Van Manen to watch fireworks at a local stadium. They were spectacular and even Baby Preston was wide-eyed and enjoying them!

ooooo!! I just love this so much--it's so fun to share the daily living. Tom and I just were talking last night while we watched the fireworks about Cole's first fireworks that summer in Idaho. They put on such a fun display out there. That was the time I gave Cole his first (HIDEOUS!) haircut. But a friend from church told me yesterday she will teach me.

Love the picture of all 5 kids with the flags!

Hi Julie,

Looks like your 4th was a BLAST! Ha! I also had to work until 3pm and then we did the cookout thing and off to see fireworks! Great Day...except Larry lost his phone...could be a good thing right? Ha! I'll try to post pics later!

Also LOVE the pic of all 5 with their patriotic gear! What a sweet looking bunch of kids! Don't you just feel overwhelmed sometimes with the fact that God would entrust us with such precious treasures? It's a full, happy life.

We have a Lauren, also! Our first-born, age 8. I bet our girls would be great pals.

Blessings!

Hey girl - even though we've kept in touch through mail and email - blogging is a great way to keep in touch a whole lot more often...I'm so glad you've joined the blogging world! I enjoyed reading your posts and seeing all the pictures.

Jules,
Thanks for your sweet comments on my beginnings of a blog. I'm entering into this blogworld with some trepidation as I am not very good at keeping up with emails, long-distance communication in general, and already see how much time this past-time can gobble up, but it is fun to catch up with old friends, see everyone's families (by the way, your kids are so precious, it seems like such a short time ago that I was out in Idaho for that summer visit when Tom and Jen were living there...I can remember sleeping with Lauren at your house, such fun memories), so I'm going to give it a try, we'll see how often I actually manage to make posts/comments.
