Work to do...

This is the sweet little guy who passed out cold this week after holding his breath while angry!
He came to very subdued, not even remembering what he was angry about.
Oh, my...so much work to do and we need wisdom from Above!

What do you mean? he looks like a little angel. I know what you mean though, Heather did the same thing once, she held her breath long enough that she was turning purple on me, scary!! I ran to the bathroom with her and put cold water on her face to make her come out of it and of course she did. It sure scared me. She's never done it since.
The joy of children, we love them no matter what.
Your children are blessed to have a great mom like you.

OH my goodness! That would scare me to death! I've heard of kids doing this, but I've never actually seen it happen. Has he always had a tendency towards a temper? Blessings on you as do the "work".....! :)

Hi, friends~

I guess I should add that we were not really surprised to see this happen. He has been on the verge of it for quite a while and when he got his last shots, he came very close (was very sleepy after the crying and yawning a lot). His big brother Jayce did this also, and I just remember all that went into "curing" him of it...not letting him lie down, blowing in his face, discipline, ect.

I have heard from others that this runs in the family!!! Yikes!

We will take it one episode at a time and pray for endurance!!

Thanks for your support!!!:)

I can't help myself here as I did the same thing when I was about your child's age. My mother finally ask the Dr. about this as she didn't know what to do. The Doc. told her to throw a glass of cold water in my face. It worked!

You are doing a great job, Julie!! Someday, we will be old, and trying to just remember all of their names, and these child rearing days will be a precious memory!!

I love you!

You poor thing, I'm sure that was scary. Although he looks much too sweet and innocent to do such a thing. "-)

I've heard of kids doing that since I was old enough to hear of the things kids do, so it sure isn't uncommon. I'm sure you are telling Robb thanks a lot for passing that particular trait on down in the gene pool?!

Haven't had one of my kids do that yet but did have Michael cry so hard in the doctors office once (he wasn't sick, just there for a check up but he went through a stage where he was TERRIFIED of the doctor) that he majorly threw up. Not sure which of the two - passing out or throwing up - that I would prefer....

I would take passing out over throw up any time! I am a nurse and I will never get used to vomit, not even my own child's. Julie, I am thinking about you lots and hoping you are comfy, and praying for you and your new little one. Hope she comes soon.
