Overheard at our house...

Lauren: "Mom, Preston is turning into a textured baby instead of a smooth baby!" (He has some sort of little rash, maybe a heat rash)

Tucker, our three year old, after his dad had talked sternly to his biggest brother about not antagonizing him: "Mommmmm, Drew is 'pushing my buttons'!!"

That is too cute!

It probably isn't this but an FYI...we discovered Michael was allergic to peanuts not from him having a breathing reaction but b/c after he had eaten a bite of peanut butter for the first time around the age of two he broke out in a rash all over his "trunk" that lasted about two or three days - the rash was very tiny red spots. We thought heat rash too (so did my dermatologist) until I put 2 and 2 together and mentioned it to his pediatrician. A blood test (and later skin test) showed a severe allergic reaction to peanuts. If he ever had another bite he would probably do the whole anaphylactic (sp?) thing but thankfully we've been able to keep him from ever having another bite. Just thought I'd pass that along "just in case" - whenever I heard of a young toddler getting a mysterious rash that is always my first thought after our experience.

We are looking forward to hearing that your daughter has arrived.

I forgot to mention that the rash didn't show up until several hours later - that is why we didn't immediately suspect the peanut butter.
